Castaways Cottages and Campground is nestled along the south shores of Great Slave Lake in Northwest Territories, Canada.

Our northern, yet easily accessible location makes us the perfect destination to experience the best of northern winter with your entire crew!

Accommodations

Our four season cottages are the perfect place to unwind after a fun day of tubing and ice fishing and a late evening of Aurora hunting from the beach or the cabins front door. We have three Cabin sizes to choose from.

Aurora Borealis

Located 10 minutes from Hay River Northwest Territories, Castaways is positioned directly under the Aurora oval. We enjoy dark skies from August to April, allowing the aurora to be visible an average of 240 nights a year.

Winter Activities

Castaways offers a wide array of activities throughout the year. Our winter options include activities such as snow tubing, ice fishing, snow shoeing, relaxing in the sauna, sherp tours, waterfall tours, and aurora viewing.
